Careful (Eric Lindley) has been featured on the blog a few times in the past year, and Melanaster Records is beyond delighted to have him on board for a show in Asheville.

About a year ago, we featured Eric Lindley on the blog.  Eric is a singer, writer and composer who makes beautifully hushed lo-fi pop songs in the style of Smog, Elliott Smith, Arthur Russell, et al, but abstracted with sparse electronics.

This month, he will release Oh, Light under his new moniker, Careful.  The new record is available streaming here, and will be released physically later this month.  Careful was also featured this week as a New York Times Critics Choice.

On a personal note, I love this music, and I’m glad it’s getting the exposure it deserves!
