Melanaster Records, in partnership with ONE WORLD Entertainment, is offering a free download of Marley Carroll’s live DJ set from March 27, 2010 at Club 828 in Asheville.  That night, Marley shared the bill with Lorn and Martyn (Brainfeeder).

This download is a raw, unedited recording straight from the sound board.  A quick sampling of the set list includes tracks from Fever Ray, Lusine, Four Tet, Mr. Oizo, Boards of Canada, Kona Triangle, Jan Jelinek, Susumu Yokota, Ellen Allien and more.  This mix finds Marley flexing his newfound love of minimal house, in addition to the innovative glitch-hop-inspired looping work that is becoming the hallmark of his live DJ sets.

Melanaster Records is proud to present 30 in 60, a brand-new live DJ mix that features the experimental looping and glitching techniques that Marley Carroll has developed over the past year [see video below].

30 in 60 features 30 tracks in exactly 60 minutes, and the album cover substitutes for a track list – each square represents an artist featured in the mix.

Much of the material was developed specifically for Marley’s opening slot for Prefuse 73 in September of this year, and the highlights of those two hours were condensed to make this killer 60-minute workout.
