Marley Carroll – Live at Club 828
Love this set! Thanks for sharing. Can you release the full set list? I am dying to know the name of the song that comes 2 tracks after Sing by Four Tet (~45:52). Thanks
Anna – thanks so much! That song is a remix of “Silikon,” by Modeselektor. http://vimeo.com/3084204 . The album is Hello Mom Remixes. I’ll be putting together a set list soon… thanks for listening!
Great set, but I have to ask: is that the Herbie Hancock “Rockit” scratch sample at 34:40? I couldn’t help but notice the resemblance and it gave me a much needed chuckle on an otherwise dreary Tuesday morning. Glad to see you’re still dominating out west.
Thanks JD! Yeah, that’s the classic “fresh” sound that’s used in almost every scratch record ever, not just “Rockit.” It’s from an old Fab Five Freddy song and everybody started using it after the Herbie track. Holla.
minimal house plus your usual style has me extremely interested! Will d/l when I’m home for sure!
Thanks! I just included the track in my most recent podcast set: http://copacabanna.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=619140
